Possible dvd writer failure

I have burned somewhere about 200 dvd and not a single coaster. Now i've got 3 in row with different software, nero or roxio. When I do an erase dvd-rw it erased for about 10 sec then ejacts process usually takes 2:00. Tried to burn to dvd-rw to avoid coasters, but programs freezes about 10% in. Does this seem like a burner failure, even so it is still recognized. Thanx all.

First thing I would suspect is dirt on the laser lens. Try cleaning it. If that gets you nowhere, then try different DVD media. Media is the usual cause of burning problems. Also try a ISO burn. That should rule out your burning software as the problem. Last, try flashing your burner to the latest firmware. If none of this works, maybe the DVD burner is failing.
