    HI!:

I just downloaded a very rare avi (a hard to find movie), and It says the audio file is AC-3 5.1 but I don't know how to extract the original file to use it when burning as DVD.

I thought there was a tool kind of like VIRTUALDUBMOD for PC where you can extract the audio stream directly from a list but I just can't seem to find a similar one.

I tried other video files with 5.1 AC3 audio in ffmpegX but i don't know if i'm doing something wrong, I get a 5.1 file but the 5 channels are mixed into the three front speakers and the 2 rear ones are completely dead, so I think I'm doing something wrong.

Please :P I know there are experts around who can help me

    thanks

  2. If you have Toast you can drag/drop this into the Toast video section and click the Export button along the bottom, and export into a variety of audio formats.

  3. If you want to try Toast to make the conversion, you might find this thread on Toast's discussion forum useful.
