Have tried to encode a couple of movie clips downloaded off a website into h.264 for PSP, but every time the PSP says 'unsupported data'.
Is this likely to be something wrong with the files in the first place or something I'm doing wrong?
When the clips have finished encoding there are two files, one called something like MAQ6489.video.MP4 and one called MAQ6489.audio.MP4.
I copy the video file to the Movies drop folder in PSPware and sync it but it doesn't show up on the PSP
If I remove the world video from the file, so it reads MAQ6489.MP4 and sync it the PSP does recognise it but won't play it, saying it's unsupported data.
My wife has encoded a couple of music videos, one taken from a CD and the other downloaded off Limewire and these both play fine.
    Any ideas?
    Many thanks

  2. The .video and .audio files are temporary files. They are not supposed to be renamed nor copied to the PSP, as they are automatically erased when the encoding finishes successfully. If that is not the case, clicking the blue "i" button in the progress window in search of an error message is mandatory.

    Thanks for the reply.

Tried encoding a file today, it encodes about 70% then says finished.
Pressed 'i' on progress window. The only part that looks like an error message is right at the end. It says Codec type mismatch for mapping #1.1 -> #0.0.
.video and .audio files remain next to original file.

  4. Please post the whole output, possibly the "Audio track" value in the audio tab has to be modified for this source.

I have the same problem with the temp files being left over from the encode and leaving me with 2 files which are useless. Ill post the output too soon.

My problem now sorted. FFmeg has same problem but decided to download PSPWare and use this instead and it works a treat. Thanks for your replies.

  8. Audio track 0 seem to use an unsupported codec. Set track=1 in the audio tab.
