  1. hi all,

i am pretty new to converting the divx to vcd. i have been using virtualdub to convert the audio to wav file from my .avi file movies. i have been using tmpgenc to encode the movies to mpeg and am burning with nero. so far, i have been successful...with vcdhelp's tutoring i recently downloaded "the others" in .avi format and i think the audio was encoded using ogg vorbis codec. the movie would not work on my pc til i installed the ogg vorbis codec. i tried to use virtualdub to convert the audio to wav file but virtualdub says it cannot recognize the movie file. i tried another software called dbpoweramp music converter (by vcdhelp's recommendation), but that software does not give me an option to choose .avi files to be able to open so i cannot convert it to wav file does anyone know how to convert the ogg vorbis audio format to wav? what software do i use and how do i use it? once i can convert it to wav, i think i can use tmpgenc to convert the movie thank you in advance.

Try Goldwave at www.goldwave.com. Very nifty little shareware program.
