    Hi,

    I am creating a video.

I have shots of two angles which I need to incorporate.

One was created in 4:3 format, using a Sony Digital 8 camcorder and transferred to the computer using a AtoD Convertor (Canopus ADVC-55). Hence it is in .avi (DV) file format.

However, the other angle was filmed using a Sony Handycam, which records straight to DVD. And in 16:9 format (And resolution is different too).

The new project is set up for 4:3, with a resolution of 720x576.

When I import the main angle, its fine.

However, the other one is loaded up distorted.

    How can this be resolved?

    Thanks.

    P.S.

Here are some pics to show what I mean:

I take its the Mpeg file well you see the 16:9 ratio is HDV but that shouldn't really matter.
Check the mpeg file in a seperate media player and if it is still distorted then the problem lies within how the file was imported and depending on how it was filmed and in what settings you should import the clip back in regarding the original settings on the camera and once it is imported it should work fine in the 4:3 project.

The MPEG file is the distorted one.

Its fine when played in Windows Media Player.

You best bet is to re import the file and if you can't well then change the format of the MPEG file to an avi file as adobe may not be able to understand it i had the same problem with a MPEG file ripped off a DVD however it had no sound so the problem may lie within adobe not being able to understad the format as there are many types of MPEG files
