Another topic by me, just want to know more about the speed that you use to burn, in example, I use mostly Verbatim 8x, but I like to burn them at 4x, however, at the Nero CD-DVD Speed, the 4x were to a low score of 54, but they play fine, no skip, freezing problems at all, and just to experiment I burned some at 6x and 8x, they turned 90 plus in score, no problems at all.

I usually burn discs at whatever speed they are rated for. Depending on the burner and the media, I may overspeed (for instance, burning Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD+R at 12x on Plextor PX-712A gives results just as good as at 8x).

I patched my DVR-107 so I could burn Ritek G04s (4x) at 8x and they never missed a beat, so now I just burn my G05s (8x) at 8x.
* Said whilst touching wood * burner is going great guns ATM, so I'll hold off buying a new burner until DL media is more affordable and reliable. If in doubt, Google it. -
And which velocity is the best to do the nero cd-dvd disc quality test on a LiteOn writer, I read that 4x?, because I tested at different speeds an the final score and the PIF and PI failures are not the same.I have been burning CD and DVD for quite a few years now but I had never run this test before, I really don`t know that much about it, so I need a little explanation
There`s an image from a recent test, it was at 4x speed, the final score was 90, hope that is a good score.
