    Is there a video editor that can open mp4 files? i tried virualdub but it doesn't suport that file type. I just wanna cut out the intro and ending

    What video codec are you using? MP4 doesn't tell us much.

    you can do basic splitting and joining with yamb.

    if you want to add filters and such you can use avisynth and then open in virtualdub.

    AVIDemux. Works ok for AVC or MPEG-4 at least. Not tried vorbis or anything else using private streams. But then again if you store stuff as private streams, you can't really expect it to be generally supported.

    You need a 2.2branch build for the mp4 support to. But yeah, for simple cutting yamb/mp4box is fine.
