I was wondering what the best way to create a disc of episodes would be.
I am wanting to take a 70 episode series and put it on 2-3 dvd's.
Can you set up a vcd and burn it on to a dvd?
Quality isn't a huge deal so what would be the best option.
    I prefer to use nero.

    1. I'd recommend you don't use Nero for the encoding side of things.

    3. Single Layer DVDRs, or Dual Layer ?

    4. Running time (approx) of each episode ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    OK, so 70 eps x 24 min = 1680 min / 3 DVDs = 560 min per DVD.

    Gonna be sub-VCD quality
    If in doubt, Google it.

Using a bitrate calculator, audio set at 160 kbps gives a video bitrate of 925 kbps. Using VCD resolution and 2-pass VBR it should be watchable.

I'd recommend using 4 DVDs. That would result in 420-minutes (or 7-hours) per DVD and allow you to encode at VCD quality bit rates (video at 1150 kbps & audio at 224 kpbs) and leave you with a margin of 240-MB per DVD.
