I would like to record from my PC to a VCR. I've tried connecting up the video output (the yellow phono socket) on my graphics card (128MB DDR ATI Radeon 9200 with TV-out & DVI) to the Line 2 SCART (blue) connector on my VCR (a Sony SLV-SE240G/I) through a phono/SCART adaptor lead (SCART in) but nothing happened! Incidentally, I didn’t try connecting the audio, so do not know whether that would have worked. Can anyone give me some guidance please?

You need to enable the tv output on your graphics card control panel. It should have some setting somewhere to enable it. As for the sound simply use a headphone ysplitter to get the stereo output.
One note some dvd software won't play on a tv out due to copy protection. But your video games and regular desktop computing will cary over as normal.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
