  1. When I try to uninstall it gives me the error shellmanager is damaged or missing and my only option is ok. SHould I just delete the folders?

    Deleting the files/directory will not uninstall Nero. Since Windows 95, uninstalling is the only way to remove programs, and even then it's not 100%. Deleting the files/directory will still leave information in the Registry, and Nero will not reinstall. What worked way back with Windows 3.1 will leave an XP machine nonfunctional.

    I suggest emailing Ahead tech support if the link provided by jimmalenko cannot solve your problem - it's excellent advice.

    To the best of my knowledge, Nero has been quirky in this manner as long as I've used it (since 4.0); but most issues are solved by reading, reading, reading the information posted on their site.

    Try reinstall to see if missing data might be recreated, and then retry uninstall.
