problem with pioneer dv 380 s

i bought this player a few months ago and have been experiencing 1 problem.
it is supposed to b multi-region but i find it isnt.
when i try to play divx files that are encoded @ 23.976fps the picture is in black & white and rolls. if i re-encode the file to 25fps it then works fine. (but takes a fair bit of time and is a pain in the arse)

i have tried the hacks for this in the hacks section (and the updated firmware) but still have the same problem.

can anyone help me?

What has multiregion to do with DivX/Xvid? DivX/Xvid are not region coded.
Your problem it is the packed bitstream issue. 25fps run fine but 23.976 stutters imagewise and
sound is slightly out of sync. very well known limitation of almost all mediatek based players.
Mpeg4modifer can be used to rewrite the file without packed bitstream, works fine.
