TMPGenc DVD author question about chapter menu

I have a question about how to add a chapter menu button in tempgenc dvd author. I don't see how its possible i choose the source i select to have chapters put in every 10 minutes than i goto create a custom menu and i dn't see how to add a chapter button on the main menu, it just says play, what am i doing wrong here?

You probably set it up to only generate a top level track menu..You did set chapter points didn't you? If you do so, and have say 2 movie clips for your main menu..then.. Pick both the top level menu and track menu (forget what DVDA actually calls it) when setting up your menu layouts, it will generate thumbs (motion if you so desire) for each chapter point that you entered previously.

When you are done with your layout, you should end up with the first play menu of your x # of clips, and click on one which should then take you to the chapter menu of that clip - then pick the chapter, or play from there. Sorry if my explanation is hard to understand, I haven't touched DVDA in quite a while, but hopefully you can figure it out from what I've said.

Click the 'create menu' button . click the 'menu display settings' button, select 'main menu and track menu' under display menu settings.

i guess i have to take a screen shot because you guys don't get what i mean. I created the menu fine with my custom background image and everything and i only have a PLAY button (if i created a custom menu) I did the display settings and i do have the chapter menu and when i click on that it shows all of the screen shots for the various chapters i am not sure if they are motion or not, (they weren't moving). Anyway i thought on the main menu i would have a PLAY and CHAPTER MENU button. If i click on the second to last menu template (cool or something its blue) there are the 2 buttons for play and chapter i want that but can't do it with a custom menu.

On the main menu screen ... create the images and text for the title of the movie ... then do the same on the chapters menu (from your last post it looks like you have already done this) now you just author the dvd and when you play it you can select the 'play all' button ... this will play the movie from the begining ... however if you select the movie titles image (or text) and press enter it will go to the chapter menu where you can then select each chapter or opt to play the whole movie from the start. .....

if you would prefer a button rather than an image for the title of your movie you can create or download button images and use that instead.

alternatively you can just choose to show the chapter menu (and not the main menu) in tda's menu settings ... when the dvd is played you will then just see all the chapters and a play button

Will normal default setting, TDA will creat a main menu with a single thumbnail. This leads you to the sub menu containing the chapter points you created.
