    hi,

trying to convert captured local soccer derby to 2x 350MB Xvid AVI's with Virtualdub 1.6.13.
I use the internal BitrateCalc from xvid codec and got for 51"27 min duration a bitrate aprox. 850kbit/s (sound 96kbit mono) to fit 358400 kbyte (350 MB).
For the second half of the soccer game i got aprox 780 Kbit/s for 55" min.

I used the Xvid gude at doom9 [http://www.doom9.org/xvid-vdub-11.htm].

After finished encoding both filesizes are bigger as estimated, firs half 370MB [], second half 396MB [Gspot 902Kbit/s].

    whats wrong, any ideas?
darling if there is no place for me on your desktop, i'll waiting for you in the system tray

  2. Did you account for audio? Oops, yes you did!

Maybe you had the Max Quantizer limits set too low.

Some old versions of Xvid weren't too good at hitting bitrate targets. Be sure you have a recent one.
