ive been googling for about 45mins and not come up with any def answers

here are my questions, any help would be great

will anydvd take my region 1 dvd's and make them play like a region 2 dvd on my tv and dvd player

does the quality look worse os its ntsc to pal

is there a hack code for the bush 2041 dvd player (looked but couldnt find)

even if my computer is set to region 2, is there a program that lets me play region 1dvd's without having to use up a change on my dvd player

A good transfer is a good transfer, regardless of region. I have a lot of region 1 material, and most is as good as the region 4 releases. Some of the region 1 releases are not 16:9 enhanced where there region 4 releases are, and these are obviously inferior. However, all things being equal, there is no reason not to purchase it.

AnyDVD will let you play region 1 discs on your region 2 drive in your PC. Should you choose to rip and back them up with AnyDVD in place, the region coding will be removed, but they will still be NTSC, so you need a multi-format player to player.

    OK...I'm confused.
IF indeed you are in the UK...most players and TV's
are capable of playing/displaying NTSC material with no
problems...however the region coding thing may be a problem
    for your DVD Player.
I have Frasier Season One...along with All 3 seasons of Monk....all NTSC...
and all look perfectly fine through my region free players.
Instead of backing them up...I'd invest in a region free player or find one that is hackable. Even here in Germany...the salesperson gave me the hack instructions (although I had them already) for my Thomson DVD Player once I told him what my intentions were and told him what I expected of the DVD player...including true NTSC><PAL conversion.
