    BUMP!

If you haven't already tried it use dvd decrypter or dvd fabdecypter.

Get the vobs to your harddrive (dvd decrypter can demux the ac3 files right off the dvd in demux mode via stream processing).

Once you have the vobs or ac3 files on your harddrive download besweet with besweet gui and you can use that to convert the vobs or ac3 to wav or mp3.

If you wanna pay for a great piece of software use DVD Audio Extractor, it will rip it from the dvd to pretty much any format you need.
    Wav, Mp3, ogg.

If you want a wav and then convert it to MP3, do what yoda313 said with dvd decrypter then you can use DGIndex to get a wav & then use anything you want to convert it to mp3.

  4. Does that apply to DVD Audio DVDs as well?

I don't know if they've been cracked yet. They're a different animal. Though you could always hook up your dvd player to the pc and do realtime audio dubbing to your soundcard. That of course would be stereo only and time consuming but at least you'd get it.

    No it does not.

As yoda313 stated it is a completely diff. format.

DVD-AUDIO files are stored in the AUDIO_TS folder on the dvda.

Yes it was cracked quite some time ago, i have ripped several of my DVD-AUDIO's.

Also i have yet to see a DVD-AUDIO disc that does not also have the same content in the VIDEO_TS folder in either 5.1 or DTS & alot of times both.
These are easy to rip and backup just like any standard dvd.

This is put there so the disc can also be played on a standard dvd player that does not play the DVD-AUDIO files.

To do the DVD-AUDIO is a bit more involved.

There is a link to the software in this thread and a little info.

I don't think it is very widely found as it seem's "they" were none too happy about this being cracked and you also need one of the older versions of WinDVD, I have used both 6 & 7 but i thought they changed something in WinDVD to stop this but i'm not sure, as those 2 versions are the only ones i have tried it with.

I use XMPEG. It's a free program and I have saved audio in wav and mp3 format.
