Hopefully I'm putting this in the right forum, I'm sure you'll move it if not.

I want to put several different episodes onto one dvd. I've been looking at a few of the "how to" guides on here which have been a big help. But I have a couple of questions which I can't seem to find the answer to.

    I've been using this guide,
to convert my avi's to seperate audio and video files (m2v & ac3). One of the files I want to convert is PAL, all the others are NTSC. I know I read somewhere that you can't have both on a dvd so I need to convert the PAL. Do I do this before or after converting to mpeg compliant file? Or can I do it all at once, and if so which settings in TMPGEnc need to say that source is PAL and which say output should be NTSC? Do I need to worry about audio sync?

also, a couple of the source files have different aspect ratios, as long as I use the same settings to encode each one, can I ignore that they are different.

Finally, how many should I put on a disk to get reasonable quality? I don't expect DVD quality, source files are recorded from TV, but should I be putting 4,6 or 8 43 minute episodes on a disk? What's the lowest birate most people are happy with?

If it makes any difference I will be using DVD Lab Pro to author the DVD once I'm done encoding.
Get Busy Living, or Get busy Dying. That's Godamn right

personally the easiest way is NeroVision Express, its a wizard that makes it so simple give it a whirl and see how it is, I used it to create Family GUy season 1 i managed to fit 4eps/dvd although i have original dvd i wanted to try transcoding avi>dvd + menu
