Hi all. I have something going on that is puzzling me. I recently tried to transfer a VHS movie to DVD using DVC-80 and ULead Movie Factory 4, with AnyDVD running in the background. The movie played back normally in the preview window (although w/o sound, even though sound was there later) and I recorded about 10 minutes or so onto my hard drive to test it out. Settings were for MPEG2, 29.97 FPS rate. Upon playback, I got a playback rate over 186FPS and can't for the life of me figure out how that could have happened. At first, I thought it maybe it was because it was a protected movie, but the same thing happened with movies I made with my own tapes. It also happened with other programs, namely Windows Movie Maker and muveeProducer. Can someone help? I'm quite new at this and really need the help. (I have an HP 8220 Laptop running Windows Media Center 2005 with 512 MB RAM and an 80GB hard drive. It is an Intel (R)4 with 3 GHZ speed).
Thanks to all.
