I have converted a .avi video to .vob using Winavi 6.0.
Usually it will convert into 1 dvd_0 folder but this video it convert into dvd_0 & dvd_1 folder.
What I would like to ask is why is it like that and how do I do to burn it to a dvd as the video after convert is splitted into different folder unlike other video.
    Thanks!

How big are the folders? Sounds like it couldn't convert and fit onto one disk to me.

Also what is the total running time of the AVI in question?

It sounds like the problem is WinAVI. You might try DivxToDVD. It generally works better.

And check the AVI file with Gspot. If you see MP3 VBR audio, that may be your problem. Or drop the AVI into VirtualDub and it will tell you immediately. That length of video should fit into a DVD fine after encoding.

Hi, thou there is no MP3 VBR which you mentioned in GSpot, but using convertxtodvd really helps and after using it, I decided to dump winAVI.

Yay - a win for the good guys.
Next step, using the right for tool for each stage to produce much better output.

    Ooo...
what will it be? As usually just convert & straight away burn it to dvds.
How about any good programs to make those nice fancy dvd menus? This method is call DVD authoring am I right to say?
Can Ulead moviefactory 4 do the job?
    Thanks for helping!
