    I have a movie with the following file name.

    [BEAT]_A movie_[H264][E06FBB39].mkv

    I've downloaded x264-452-install.exe bacause I thought that this was the codec that I needed but It didn't work. Can anyone tell what should I do?

    MKV is just a container for audio & video NOT a codec. You may have to use GSpot or AVICodec to check the exact codec required and install on your system
    When I was born I was so shocked that I could'nt speak for 18 months.

    x.264 is an encoder only, no decoding. Install ffdshow and enable h.264 decoding.
