Just curious about whether anybody else has had this problem, but I have had 3 routers now that have died. Two linksys and a zonet router all just stoped working. Could it be like an overload, because I have 4 computers connected to it or a bad modem or power surge problem? Or do routers nowadays just do this? Each of the routers have worked for probably 4 or 5 months so they don't die instantly.
Anybody else with this problem?
Thanks
Tim

I've had same linksys the last four years, but I do have it pluged into a UPS running off a surge protected outlet....so I would have to say its a power/surge problem thats killing them.

I would suspect power surge or some other problem also. Both my routers have been running for several years. No problems. I run them off a UPS/surge suppressor. But surges still should not kill them unless the surges are extreme.
There's nothing from the internet connection that could kill them, AFAIK.
The amount of connections they have would have no effect either on their demise.
