Greetings

I have an all-in-wonder agp card and have captured video. Video is in MPEG1 format, looks great. I have already figured out that if I want to maintain good quality and correct format, I must use ULEAD. I have two issues that I am sure the experts here can solve.

When I use ULEAD, I use LOAD LIBRARY to bring in my 30 minute clip, 447 megabyte MPEG1.

It loads, and I can get it to the timeline. It breaks it into like a thousand frames. Now, it SAYS to move these around, select ONE or multiples, and drag it to where I want. Typical drag and drop right ? But it does NOT let me select anything. Why is that ? I left click over a fram and nothing happens. If I right click I see a box that says CUT, COPY, DELETE, but no drag and drop function. HELP ! I am forced to use ULEAD and have learned how to manuever but this simple task is eluding me. I PREFER the Microsoft Theater Because it breaks my 30 minute film into a bunch of easy little clips on one board that I can drag to the timeline, but it causes question 2 below.

When using MS product, it of course saves as a WMV file. Not compatible with burning a VCD. Also saving the movie you create, it is less than original quality. SO off to TPMG to convert. On the HIGHEST WMV quality input, TPMG choked after 3 seconds. On not so good WMV quality, it choked after 45 seconds. On the worst quality WMV file, it ran to completion BUT the first 34% took 3 minutes, rest of file over 2 hours !!! That was for a 10 minute clip. Settings I used were standard.

So my two questions ...How to select in ULEAD (maybe I missed a conversion step that breaks up the clips like Microsoft does ? )

And is TPMG so slow and how do I get it to work on the best quality WMV file without shutting down (no error msg by the way, whole system just hangs)

For reference I have a DELL p4 4300 with 1.6 gighertz, 256 meg ram, 120 gig hard drive, ATI Allin wonder video with 32 meg. NOT A SLOW machine at all.

Thanks to the experts in advance for having a VERY informative web site
