  1. I am having Problems backing up The Legend Of Zorro.
Has anyone been able to do this movie successfully, and if so what programs did you use?

    Here are my results:
DVDDecrypter: I/O Error unable to rip to hd.
DVDFab: Ripped only the second part of the movie (starts at Chaper 25)
Elby CloneDVD: Unable to finish error
DVDShrink: Error ripping to HD, unable to continue.

I have tried it on two different computers with no luck.

I did try a search through the forums but got no results.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for your time.

You could try DVD Decrypter in conjunction with PGCEdit and the PSL2 plugin. Follow the instructions on the site.

Or wait for DVD Fab Decrypter to be updated again, which would be only a day or two.

    Or possibly AnyDVD

Someone I know also had issues with this movie. In his case he said Fab did just fine but it had no audio when it was done.

    Something might be fishy here.

I used DVDFabDecrypter, then DVDShrink (main movie only) and had no problems.

  6. I used dvdshrink & it worked fine. Maybe your version is out of date?

  7. Thanks to all for their posts !

Here are the versions of the programs that I was using:

    AnyDVD v4.5.7.2
    Elby CloneDVD2 v2.5.4.3
    DVDDecrypter v3.5.4.0
    DVD Shrink v3.2.0.15
    DVDFab Decrypter v2.9.5.2

Looks like there is a newer version of DVDFab Decrypter that is only a few days old, I will give that a try.

As for PGCEdit, looks like a tool to use after I have it on the HD so I will have to see that when I am successful in getting it there.
I looked for the PSL2 plugin but did not find it on the site. Is there somewhere else I can look?

    Thanks again for your time.

    UPDATE:
Using the latest bersion of DVDFab Decrypter v2.9.7.2 I was able to get the entire disc to my HD, I then used the Elby CloneDVD2 to back it up.
Still using the files created by DVDFab, I was able to backup using DVD Shrink. So it seems that using the lastest version of DVDFab Decrypter I was able to get it done.
Thanks again to all for their help.
Hope this helps other people as well.

Your version of AnyDVD is very out of date. It seems to be getting updated at least weekly.

The PSL2 plugin can be found here https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?guideid=844#844

You use PGCEdit with this plugin to call DVD Decrypter (set it up according to the docs) to first work out where the protection is. PSL2 then creates an appropriate PSL file and runs Decrypter again using this file to over-ride the protection
