    i bought a comp while in school in the uk, but i live in the bahamas, we run on everything american, can i strip the parts from this comp, and use it on my same voltage and system home, for example, the hard drive

    The computer itself runs on 5V and 12V, the only bit that is different is the power supply. That will either have a switch to select either 110V or 230V input or will run on either (a lot of modern switched mode supplies aren't bothered what voltage the input). Not only can you take bits from the computer and use them, you can probably use the whole computer.
