  1. I recorded a long program ( about 4 and half hours) from satellite using Twinhan's StarBox. The saved file is in mpeg2. I tried to author to DVD with TMPGEnc DVD Author. It says the bitrate is 10000. I converted it to lower bitrate using TMPGEnc but the picture and sound don't match. If I convert a short piece like 5 or 10 minutes, it is fine. Could anybody tell me how to improve this convertion? Thanks.

  3. Hi, Mikiem.
Could you tell me in more detail. Is it that I first demux the audio from the original and convert the video only then mux the audio and the video? Thanks

Don't use TDA but there was a very recent thread on this -- uses separate titles? Anyway might want to look for it.

I have had this long ago when connecting a video in the same track using TDA.

TDA will put a chapter point where the vids join, if you delete these chapter points and make new ones just a frame one way or the other or where ever you want them it should take care of the problem as long as there is not one right where the vid joins.

Baldrick, I am sorry for cross posting. And I will try
    pvastrumento or projectx. Thanks.
mikiem, It is interesting to try different titles. Thanks.
Noahtuck. is it that I create one-frame chapters in between? How to delete the chapter points? Thanks.

  9. Hi, Baldrick.

I have converted my video using ProjectX and TMPGEnc plus and the sync problem is resolved. But when I search or jump during the play I have to waite for about 20 seconds for the player to get the position. Is it that I should modify some options in ProjectX? Thanks.

  10. I have another video recorded with Twinhan StarBox, which was abnormally stopped during the recording. It plays OK except that there is no time indication and thus I can not fast forward or jump. When I use ProjectX to demux it the audio and video have different time lengths and the difference is about 20 mins. Is there anyway to correct the errors? Thanks.
