    Hi, I'm looking for a good program that can rip the audio tracks from a purchased DVD movie.

    Suggestions ?

  2. If you want a freeware approach, try this:

    1) Rip DVD in File mode using DVD Decrypter or DVDfab Decrypter

    2) Save project from DGIndex (DGmpegDec). There's your audio.

    3) get chapter frame numbers from vts_01_INFO.txt and calculate chapter stops.

    Here's a detailed guide (complete with a spreadsheet for calculating chapter stops).

  3. last time i did a rip with dvd decrypter last week the file that came out was so low in volume it was unusable. anyone know how to get around that?

    That wasn't DVDDecrypter's fault.

    Even easier....
    "Split By Chapter" in DVDDecrypter.

    Just boost it with BeSweet or Nero's Wave editor or Audacity or something.
