Just wondering if there is a program out there to verify the qualit/resolution etc of my image files before i burn them?? Most of my dvds are good but i feel the picture loses a bit of detail or is a bit grainy plus i need to know if they are 480p or 576p?? cheers

Well there are a couple of options.
You could try opening the vobs in the latest beta version of gspot (the beta supports mpeg).
Or the other way would be to use a dvd player software and open the information tab. It should have a listening of the frame rate, resolution, audio detail etc....Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
