Hello all,
I recently made DVD of home video using iMovieHD & iDVD with menus and all fancy stuff after spending enough time.
Now I realise that my grand-parents don't have DVD player so I need to make VCD for them. I know how to make VCD just out of VOB file but I would like to retain all menus and theme I used for making DVD using iMovieHD & iDVD.
Is there anyway I can do it? I will prefer PC based application as I used my work Mac for DVD purpose but won't be able to use it for making VCD.
Many thanks in advance.

indijay,
1st, what do your grandparents have?
A: VCD player? (Then make them a VCD)
B: PC w/ DVDplayer application? (Then just give them the DVD)
C: Neither? (You'll have to buy them a DVD player, or dub to VHS tape)
Assuming you actually want to make a VCD, you should use the same stills (that went into making the menus for the DVD) for the VCD. Save as BMP/PNG, etc. (Use 704x480/576 for the menu size, not 720)
Encode them to MPG with VCDEasy's stills encoder tool.
Then create the menu structure within VCDEasy.
You can't do everything ("fancy") that a DVD does, so you'll have to change the way the menu's interact a little. Read the VCDEasy and VCDImager guides (and check out their sites) about the different structures.
If you want hotspots on the menus, you'll have to code the XML text in by hand. Look at one of my past posts for examples there.

It would be a lot less time consuming, cost and worry to buy them a dvd player, and they could enjoy your dvd`s the same as you.
At least that`s what I would do...................
