NeroBurner is a free new tool to burn DVD-Video (VIDEO_TS folders containg an authored DVD structure).

As the name suggests it is a wrapper around the Nero Api. Thus you need Nero 6+ installed to use this application.

Also it is a .Net application so you need the .Net framework v1.1 installed.

    How to use:

    1. Start NeroBurner.
    2. Choose your DVD drive.
    3. Browse to the VIDEO_TS folder containing the dvd files.
    4. Click "Burn"

You can enable shell integration. This gives you:

    1. Right Click on the VIDEO_TS folder
    2. Click "Burn"

    Enjoy.

Download NeroBurner 1.0 Installation file (zipped MSI)

It burns the VIDEO_TS folder and creates a blank AUDIO_TS folder, the same as Nero (& most other burning apps that burn DVD-Video). If you have no audio on the finished DVD, check that it is there by playing the DVD off the hard drive. If it is then try the burn actually with Nero & see what gives. If you were doing a DVD-Audio disk then NeroBurner only does DVD-Video....

It always burns a MAX at the moment. I will probably add speed select later.

  9. Looks like it could be great but every time i try to burn a vts folder created with dvd2svcd i get the following.

Backup file 'VIDEO_TS.BUP' should be identical to 'VIDE....
Backup file 'VTS_01_0.BUP' should be identical to 'VTS_....
    DVD-Video files compliance test faild
    DVD NOT burned sucessfully

    Files in VTS folder are

    VIDEO_TS.BUP 6kb
    VIDEO_TS.IFO 6kb
    VTS_01_0.BUP 70kb
    VTS_01_0.IFO 70kb
    VTS_01_1.VOB 1,048,544 kb
    VTS_01_2.VOB 511,092 kb

It burns without errors using neroexpress dvd video files.

Am i doin something blindingly obvious wrong?

  10. Is it possible to implement the verify function into this neat tool?
Some DVD burners are still picky with the media. The verfiy function can tell if the burned DVD is 100% ok or not.

I am not a fan of the .NET framework. Could you program V2 in such a way that NeroBurner be an option to be selected?

    Thanks.
It's time to kick some butts, and presto ( if you know what I mean )

  12. Never mind, I just answered my own question.
I guess I just would be using other tools.

Would you mind sharing the .net code for dealing with the Nero API, or a pointer to where the info can be found? BTW, what .net flavor of .net are you using?

    TIA!

Its C#. I am using the NeroCOM ActiveX control in a .Net Interop way, not the NeroAPI. If you want the source for the main component drop me an email.

  15. In SVCD2DVD I cannot select quicker speed than 6x for some reason. Any suggestion why? Built in safety to avoid corrupt videos? I've got Nero 6 Ultra.

In Nero I can chose 12x (believe I need Nero 7 to be able to burn at 16x). I've got a NEC ND-3550A DVDRW.

No. In the settings you have all the availiable speeds at the current time. So if you have x4 media in your drive when you are on the settings page you will not see above that. Drive & media dictate this.

If you want max burning choose the max option. Then no mater what media you have it will always burn at the max.
