whats the best way to re-author a dvd?.

hi.
can anyone tell me the best way(and easiest),to reauthor a dvd?.

Lets say i have an already authoured dvd,with menus etc,but i dont like the menus,or want to change something.

is it possible to put my own menus onto disk instead of original?.

Ps!....

while we're on the subject of menus and authoring,
what would be the best way to add a little intro i made to the begining of the dvd?.
i.e i would insert dvd,it would play my intro,then go to the normal menu screen.
