I have so far found 1 DVD recorder which matches the following spec:
plays Divx (and I think xvid)
records to DVDR/RW (doesnt matter - or + )
has a HDD also
USB port (allows access of jpegs etc)
The current recorder I have found is here.
This is kind of the price I am after. The only point with this unit is whether it allows to record to the HDD while playing a DVD. The manual from the manufacturers site doesnt make this clear![]()
I would appreciate anyones input

Since posting here I found other models, however I am unsure if they are of good build. Can anyone help, the following units are as follows :
Ellion 950S DVD HDD 160gb
Ellion 950c DVD HDD 120gb
H&B DRHD-120 120gb drive (same as the Ellion in looks)
Yamada DVR-9300HX 250GB HDD unit
I just need to know which of these would be the best to go for. The player I mentioned previously (eltax) has put me off due to reports about the fan being nosiy & apparently some other remote controls switching it on and therefore starting this fan up
Also are DVD recorders with HDD capably of recording a TV programme and watching a DVD film at the same time?.Regards
Timcs
