If movies are converted anyway, it seems to me you'll end up will smaller disk size automatically?

IF you buy the Kinoma Video Player/Producer. Waste of money, really.

You need to find your screen dimensions, so you keep as much as the original will fit on the screen. Then choose "MPEG4 [.AVI] ffmpeg]" from the video tab and fill in the video res. info.

    Ought to work.

  4. but ,do you have any setting in mind which can help me do it,i just know that the TX is 320x 420.But how can i convert with ffmpeg?or rather how can i make it smaller?

  5. Is there a way to just compress the file without losing the original quality i just want them to fit in an sd card

thanks a lot for the help guys

There is NO WAY to compress without loosing quality (as a general rule)

However, there are ways to make sure that you can not notice the loss in quality. (Recompressing to the exact screen size, bit rates, etc)

Encode the video with the default video setting (MPEG4 [.AVI] mencoder) with the screen size plugged into the Video tab. (You'll have to hold your palm sideways). Make sure to click "Best" so you don't encode with a too-high bitrate.
