    hello
    this is my first time with AviSynth
    i saw the faq and all but i dont understand
    i created a text document called test.avs and i put the following single line of text in it
    "verison"
    then i opened wmp but nothing happen
    what i do wrong

    Spelled "version" wrong?

    Try opening it in VirtualDub and see what the error message says.

    You open WMP, then open that AVS file you created...

    Many of the instruction used by AviSynth require "()" just after.

    Try this:
    Code:
    Version()
    (mine still works with just "Version")

    Also check if the icon looks like this:


    If the icon still looks like a text document icon you may have to change the options of Windows to show the file extension. (Your file might actually be named "test.avs.txt").

    To check if the file extension is hidden from Windows (WinXP example)
