playback problems

hi. im trying to back up creep. it rips fine and burns with nero 6.3 fine. when i playback on my dvd player it just stutters and freezes. what is the problem. i use dvdshrink and nero burning rom/dvd-video. should i try something else? i tried dvdfab decrypter as well and got the same results. is it my laptop or dvd burner? im using a freecom burner. any help out there!!!!
additional: it takes two hours to shrink this movie, so did house of flying daggers. both are PATHE dvds!!!!

bad media? or does it work fine with other dvd-video backups?

ive used loads of different blank discs and found these datawrite printable ones to be the best. backed up loads of dvds without problem. the main movie seems to be ok but the extras and trailers at the start are causing most problems.

has anyone sucessfully backed up creep [R2] and house of flying daggers [R2] with all extras?????? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
