    Hello,

I saw something on TechTV a while back about a (then) new format that they were converting full DVDs to. It was a comressed single file, that included all munes, etc. But you had to use the specific player for it. If I remember right, the file format was named after an animal?

I'm thinking about putting in a media player PC, and I thought this would be a good way to store my favorite DVDs.

Does anyone know what this format was called. And better yet, is it still viable, or has something else come along since then that is better?

    Thanks a ton!

Yes, that is the format I was thinking of. Thanks.

Is it a viable solution for storing full DVDs on a Media PC? From the little that I read in the comments here, it seems to be a bit slow in encoding, and a little bit needy in resources? Would a P4 2.4/ 512 MB ram be sufficient for playing rat files back?

    Thanks again!
