I have been using Mushkin Value RAM for about 7 months. Recently my PC has been rebooting itself, having stop errors, and freezing up, I traced it down to bad RAM with MEMtest86, which found over 200,000 errors. My question is, which brand of RAM do you folks use. I do not overclock and am not a millionare, just looking for good quality RAM to finish my christmas videos without using words that my kids shouldn't hear. Thanks a bunch in advanced.

Crucial is what I've always used and I've never had problems. I'd say its generally considered one of the higher quality RAM manufacturers.

If you still have the sales receipt for the memory, check with Mushkin to see if they will replace it.
But if you get a different brand, make sure it has a lifetime warranty.
I've used Corsair Value Select DDR RAM in several computers with no problems. It's a good inexpensive brand of memory if you aren't overclocking. And it is lifetime guaranteed. -
And make sure you did not physically damage the RAM by static electricity and that sort of stuff.

if you bought it from newrgg, they have the reciept inyour acct. mushkin will honor it.
my current preference is patriot. i can't tell you jack about ram, but i'm believing it is faster and more stable than the kingston/crucial/geil/corsair and other lesser names i've used.... -
I use Corsair and Kingston memory almost exclusively in any system building project. I've gotten too many bad Mushkin or PNY memory modules so I don't recommend either of those. Another good memory module if you're on a budget is one called value. As it's name implies it's usually one of the cheapest and it has good reliability, if you don't plan to overclock. If you have value ram and plan to overclock I recommend memory coolers because the value brand ram becomes unstable rather quickly in OC environments.
