    Hi,
I'm trying to rip the sound from a music DVD. I've tried two different programs, but I still have the same problem: the files are mostly 'white noise', with the music barely audiable in the background. For the record, I've tried DVD Audio Ripper 2.0.58 and #1 DVD Audio Ripper V 1.1.1 Any ideas?

I'll try DVD Audio Extractor. To answer the questions raised, I'm trying to rip from DVD files (.Vob, .Mpeg, .Ifo) on my hard drive to MP3 files. Now, I've tried the programs above on different DVDs, and they work fine. Which makes me think that there is some type of protection included on this disc which prevents a person ripping the sound.

rip the disc to your hd with dvdfab decrypter.
then convert it to mp3 with dvd audio extractor.

or install anydvd and convert directly from dvd to mp3 with dvd audio extractor. anydvd will remove the protection.
