    Is there a free tool to convert mp3 audio back to wav?

    I want to create a picture slide who with movie maker.

    Winamp will do it with the disk writer plug-in that comes with it. From the main menu, select visualizations -> select plug-in -> output -> Nullsoft disk writer. It'll give you the option to configure the output specs. and directory, etc. Just make sure you change the output settings before using winamp again as a media player.

    Audacity worked great, simple and easy.

    Thanks for the reply's.

    I am working on slide show movie maker to create a photo/audio slide show. Which codec will work best? Because when I select my codec I get this message "Your selected audio codec has a different format than 2 channels (sterio) 44100hz and 16 bit" "It couls be that SSMM cannot compress your audio.

    I used one of the codec's that I have and sound is ok.
