Edit Menu Command

Ok i want to edit a menu command. I have put a extra sub (dutch sub) to an original dvd. Now in the subtitle menu i have one option none. I want to change that into when you click it the subtitle Dutch is playing is this posible?

Hi redostrike,

Take a look at the tool menuedit - it might do what you need. I've never used it, but the description sounds like it might be of use.

Failing that, take a look at either DVDRemake or DVD Remake Pro - both from the same person who wrote menuedit.

Yeah i tried those but whit no luck i did post this problem at another (dutch) forum and they said i must delete the english and put dutch there

Hi-

Open the DVD in PGCEdit. Double-click on the movie in the left window. You'll know it by its length. In the new screen, in the upper right part, you'll see the list of 32 subpicture streams. I didn't quite understand if you're adding subs to a DVD with none, or adding an extra one to a DVD that has some already. Anyway, turn on the first empty stream (it'll say "none") by clicking on it and hitting "Set". If there are already subs, you'll have to advance the slider(s) to newer and higher numbers. I'm sure you'll understand when you see it.

Next, click on "current domain streams attributes" in the lower left corner, fill in "nl" and "normal" for your newly created sub stream. OK your way out of there and "File->Save DVD. Next, up at the top, go DVD->fix number of streams... and it should then tell you that you have one more sub stream than you had before. Save it again and test in a Software player. The Dutch subs should now be available to choose.

If you mess up somewhere along the way, replace the IFOs from the PGCEdit backup folder and start again.
