I just purchased a new M-Audio Audiophile 2496 to replace my Abit NF7-S nForce 2 onboard audio. Everything seems to be in working order, but when playing DVDs on PowerDVD, there is crackle in the audio (which wasn't a problem with the nForce2 audio).
I've tried disabling the onboard audio drivers, and disabling the audio controller in the BIOS, but the PowerDVD crackle is still there.
I was thinking it would be an IRQ conflict, but the system doesn't detect any problems there.
My cousin seems to have the same problem with his M-Audio Delta 1010, but his crackling occurs in VLC player, as well as PowerDVD.
If anyone can help with this problem, it would be much appreciated![]()
