    Hi all:

I recorded some events for my work and then transfer them to PC. I used Nero Express55 vedio burnner to burn the record into a CD. BUT when I play it in the Sony-DVD-Player, it only display the title, does not do the playback!

I saw other VCD can playback in the Sony-DVD-Player automatically. How can make my VCD automatically work in the player?

Sounds like you created a menu as well. There should be an option in nero to have a menu or not. Turn off the menu and this disk should go straight into the movie.

I know that with the Pioneer players I have owned, only DVDs auto play. CDs, VCDs etc. all wait for the play button to be pressed. For VCDs, this when they will either play the movie or the menu.

Just define a time limit for the menu. By default, the menu is on "infinite", so set it to, say, 10 secs.

Dear Gunslinger & Kschang: Thanks for your response.

After burnning with the Nero Express55, the VCD plays normal in the PC, it just needs double click the file *.DAT in the MPEGAV fold. BUT put it in the Sony DVD player, after pressing the play-button, it only display menu/title without going to playback. Is there anyway to push this VCD to playback in the DVD player or I have to re-burn another one?

I did find the menu option but I failed to find the place to set time-limit for the menu!

    Hope to get further information.

    Hello Kschang:

I have found the place to set the time-limit for the menu.

When I burned the VCD, I did not turn off the menu option
or set time limit. Can the made VCD still palyback in the DVD player?
if yes, how? Have I to burn a new one?
