    Greetings!

In case this topic has not been discussed yet, I developed this issue just of late.

I have a first generation XMS 750 DVD player which I nicknamed "unbreakable" it plays anything and everything and am very happy with it, I've had it for close to 5 years now and have not had any problems.

Lately I have noticed that when I burn a short movie say a movie under an hour or recently a collection of 6 music clips the DVD player failed to read the disc and returns a "no disc" reading on the monitor. Tried replacing the DVD -R a few times but the player just grunts then just completely stops.

If I use PS2 it plays as well as my PC.

Other DVD - Rs play with no problems.

    Software used

I use Nero Ultra v.6X and have upgraded to Nero 6 Reloaded with Vision Express.

    DVDCloner III( highly recommended)
    DVD Shrink
    DVD Decrypter

Pls note: I use all these interchangeably but have been using DVDCloner II for its speed and efficiency lately for to encode movies.

    Hardware

    Pioneer 110D

I have been trolling the web for a possible explanation but have come up ZIP! Please Help!

How big in MegaByte is the burnt DVD? Some dvd players have problems with dvds that aren't at least some GB.

Thanks for replying. Anyways the movie is less than 1Gb, is this a common issue? Is there a work around it besides of course increasing the size of the actual movie.

    Thanks again!

I've read about this problem also. From what I've read, there is usally filler (non video data) added to the files to meet the 1GB limit. I believe the problem was that you need to have at least one vob meet the 1GB limit.
