Hi i am very new to this and need some help. when i create my own dvd with nero by adding video clips, it all burns fine on my sony dvd writer. but when i come to replay them back on my sony dvd player and x box. the first three chapters play fine but the last chapter starts to freeze and play up half way through, but when i replay it back on my computer it works fine. please help, havn`t got a clue what i am doing wrong. could it be that i have got the burning speed set to maximum rather than the speed of the disc

Might just be a media problem. Try some other brands and see if the problem persists.

Safer to burn at 4x , but if 8x is the slowest , then use it .

1 : What type of disc's are you using ?

Dvd-r is the most widely accepted media format for home dvd players , so try it first ... should work fine , but xbox could be a different thing , it's those +r and +wr they like most .

    I rate tdk number 1 , it's never failed .

2 : How much are you jamming onto a disc ?

4.3 gigabytes is the most widely accepted standard as the most you would want to place on them , being the most compatable for all home players .

    3 : Consider burning using Imagetools or dvd-decrypter .

Imagetools only requires to know which folder the dvd title resides , it dose the rest , you set speed , and burn .

Dvd-decryptor ... not sure , never seen this , but iso burn yes ...
Maybe you can use nero to produce the iso required for it ...

Another guide for iso's soon ...

Should burning to those standards mention above prove to work , then there is something amiss with nero somewhere ... yes I have nero ... but I never use it to burn dvd video ... always imagetools .

    It's a simpler interface to use ... nero keep's losing my audio_ts and video_ts folders ... I only use it for data backup's .

You'll also find a great deal of information in the guide's section that may help .
