I don't know how good Handbrake is for "all around DVD ripping" but it seems to do a good job on the un-encypted ones and will go straight to H.264. Nice!![]()

I'll have to download and investigate. It was previously capable of making MPEG4 (but not H.264) iPod compatible videos...
