Help, I use Nero Vision Express to make my DVD's from several movie files and it can convert almost anything to DVD format. But it is verrrryyy slow. Anyone know of alternatives? One that can convert multiple files into one DVD (video_ts) really fast even on older machines? thanks....

Most of the all-in-ones are a little slow. If you are just speaking about encoding, then Mainconcept and CCE are some of the faster ones.
You need to determine where your programs are operating slowly. If it's encoding, then the ones above will help. But creating a DVD from something like a Divx file takes some time. There are a lot of conversions happening, video format, sound, creation of menus, etc.
Try DivxToDVD. There's a freeware version available. If it does the same process faster, then you are one the right track. Or try some of the other all-in-ones listed it 'Tools' to the left. <<<<
The preferred way for best quality is to use individual tools for encoding and authoring, and often burning. Sometimes that can be even slower.
And how do you define 'slow'? It will likely take twice the playing time of most videos to do a 'fast' encode. Throw in a few more conversions and it will be even slower.
BTW, This is not DVD Authoring. Moving you.
