A slight change in Divx 5.2 (vs 5.1)

Hi guys
I just upgraded to divx pro 5.2, from 5.1, but now i've got an option in the encoding properties which is gone T_T

Under the Codec properties (after choosing the divx 5.2 compression properties in Virtual Dub) a window shows up where I can choose the Bitrate options.

I've got

1-PASS
MULTIPASS 1-PASS
MULTIPASS N-PASS

and previously I had an option which was QUALITY BASED
Even tho some (or most) wont suggest this option I liked to use it to make srt as hard subs to play on the DVD player, and it kept the same quality with relative fast encodes (final size doesn't matter much)

I tried to re-install divx, but this time 5.1.1 - but still i haven't got this option. Was that an add-on or something? which exact version should I install?

is it possible no one knows anything about this matter?! :S
