.AVI_(Divx) to (S)VCD

Could someone tell me if it is better to convert a Divx (AVI) movie to a SVCD or VCD...

I think that if you can play svcd you have to go for svcd because the resolution is much higher than of a vcd... If you don't want only 30 - 40 minutes on a 75mins cdr you have to convert to vcd... quality is worse but, the same as from ripping from dvd, the better the source the better the target. Althought transcoding is the worst you can do (divx <-> (s)vcd). But you you aren't a perfectionist you will like the result anyway and have much fun with it (well, I do)
