    Hey everyone,

I have a home movie I am trying to put onto DVD. I used VSODiVXtoDVD to encode the .avi's to DVD, and there are 2 parts. So now I have a video_ts folder for both parts. I have a folder called DVD on my desktop, in which are folders Party1 and Party2. Each Partyx folder has a video_ts folder. I want to get BOTH parts onto ONE DVD. (No issues lengthwise or anything, they're each roughly an hour).

Of course, each video_ts folder has the same files in it and I don't know about renaming one of them as that will most likely mess it up?

Can I make an ISO of each video_ts folder and burn both ISOs onto the DVD5 and have it play on my dvd player?

How do I go about this? TIA!

If the files are already in dvd video format, then use DVD Shrink in reauthor mode. Select the vobs from each folder, process the dvd and burn onto one disc.

I would suggest you've gone about this from the wrong approach.

Capture, encode, author, and then burn.

What you've done will likely not look very good. Especially if you transcode homemade material.

Should I go back and just join the 2 .avi's together, then encode them as one and burn like that? Sounds like it would be a lot easier?? hehe.

add both avis in divxtodvd and output to one dvd. if you are using the old free version of divxtodvd hold in ctrl and select both files when you import/open the avi file.

File spec needs to be same on both parts if going on same disc or being joined(can be overcome). Do not recommend joining before encoding-sync issues. Converting to ISO first seems a waste of time.

Encode each 'party' clip. Then, why not use TDA?:-Menu with 2 clips. Or join together in TDA as one file.
