  1. Anyone know what I have for problem?

Some dvd's I make dont play good on some dvd players.

One and same dvd can be played good on one dvd player, but not on an another player. The picture is shimmering.

In what step do I wrong?

thankful for help on this matter!

  2. Sounds like the media you are using is not very good. Some DVD players don't like some cheap media. My apex player is VERY picky about what media it will play.

  3. using Maxell....and tried others.

Can it maybe depend on how I capture? Or settings when I capture?

I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro & Adobe Encore...

  4. The writter makes a big difference too. I have 2 writters, an older Pioneer A05 -R 4x burner, and a new dual layer sanyo/toshiba. The Sanyo Toshiba will not burn -r media that will play back on my apex. The same exact -r media burned on my Pioneer plays back fine. On the other hand, the sanyo/toshiba will burn +r disks that will play fine on my Apex dvd player, so there are LOTS of things to deal with that can make it hard to get a dvd to play well in most dvd players.

If it plays fine on one player and not another, No.

As mentioned above it's probably the media, some other thing you can try:

    1. Update your burning software.
    2. Update the firmware for the drive.
    3. Try a slower burn rate.

Additionally you can look up the DVD players to the left. As mentioned above some can be picky about the type of disc, +R or -R. To add to what barnabas said I had two discs with identical content, one a +R and one a -R. On my friends older Sony player one played flawlessly while the other hopelessly skipped. Both discs played perfectly in my standalone JVC player.
