My Deck at work is a Panasonic DVCPRO AJ-D230H (Hooked up via FireWire)
I have output and input with AVID XPress Pro. BUT, When I load up After Effects 6.5 (After I close AVID), I get no output to my deck. When I load a project, the TV glitches (like it is trying to get a single) but all I get is a black screen.
If I hook up our HDV FireWire Deck, I can see my AE preview on the tiny LCD screen. If I hook up my GL1 via FireWire, I can see my AE Preview.
Any suggestions? Is there something in the MENU of my Deck that I need to switch on ... or is this Deck a non-After Effects Preview deck?
Thanks!

Well it says --
Note: OHCI-compliant IEEE 1394 cards and iLink ports don't support the After Effects video preview feature.
I'm on a Mac (10.4.3) Tiger. When I hook up a FireWire Transcoder (YUV to DV Converter DAC-2) I can get preview, but this DVCPRO Deck tries to get a signal, but I get black.
My Comps in AE are the same (DV 720x480 27.97 or 23.976).
