Weird Windvd playback problem...

Hi, i've just updated from Windvd 6 to 7, and now when i play widescreen movies (using a standard CRT monitor) the black frames of above and below are different, part of the frames are a "brighter" black, i don't know if i explain myself well... it's annoying, both frames have 2 different kinds of "black", a brighter one (near the end of the screen) and a "normal" black (near the movie "playback").

Anybody knows why this happens? and how to correct it?

You can try change the brightness for both the desktop and the overlay(it is used for video). The settings are under the displayproperties->settings->advanced->color correction for my nvidia card...probably similiar for other cards.
